Discover a first-time dive in Fréjus, a unique experience to explore the Mediterranean seabed. Located between Fréjus and Saint-Raphaël, our club welcomes you for your first dive, supervised by qualified instructors.

Suitable for ages 8 and over, the introductory dive is ideal for discovering the thrill of diving in complete safety. You’ll be diving in clear water, teeming with Mediterranean flora and fauna.

👉 Classic First Dive : approximately 20 minutes of exclusive immersion with a certified instructor (Duration: 2½ to 3 hours: boat trip + diving).

✨ Premium DSD First Dive : approximately 45 minutes underwater, 2 people max, with PADI Discover Scuba Diving certification upon completion (Duration: 2½ to 3 hours: boat trip + diving).

⚓ How does the first dive take place?

👉 Meet at the dive center at 2:00 PM
Warm welcome, full equipment provided (wetsuit, fins, mask…).

👉 Head to the Lion de mer island
Head towards the famous Lion de mer island, just a 10-minute boat ride from the port of Fréjus. The scene is already set…

From age 8 for the standard first five (or age 10 for the Premium DSD first dive), even if you’re not a very good swimmer.
No medical certificate required.
Parental authorization required for minors.

Whether you are curious, adventurous, on holiday or simply looking for a unique experience… this activity is for you.

Do you need to know how to swim to do a first dive in Fréjus?

No, you don’t need to know how to swim. During an introductory dive in Fréjus, you will be accompanied at all times by a qualified instructor.

At what age can you do a first dive?

The first dive is available to children aged 8 and over. The experience is tailored to the age and ability of each participant.

How long does an introductory dive in Fréjus last?

Allow around 2½ to 3 hours in total, including check-in, the briefing, the boat trip and the dive (the dive lasts 20 minutes underwater for a standard first dive or 40 to 45 minutes for a Premium first dive).

What is the depth for a first dive?

The maximum depth is generally limited to 6 metres (2 metres for 8–10-year-olds and 3 metres for 10–14-year-olds).

How much does an introductory dive cost in Fréjus?

Where does the introductory dive take place in Fréjus?

The introductory sessions take place at sea; we travel by boat (about 10 minutes) off the coast of Fréjus and Saint-Raphaël, around the island Lion de Mer, a site suitable for beginners.

What can you expect on an introductory dive?

You can spot Mediterranean fish such as sea bream, red seabream, peacock wrasse and more, as well as starfish, flabellina, nudibranchs and occasionally a few surprises such as groupers and cuttlefish... An ideal first dive into the seabed of the Var.

Is a trial dive dangerous?

No, a trial dive is a strictly supervised activity. You will be accompanied one-to-one by a qualified instructor who will oversee the entire dive.
